maybe im missing something but:
i have booted the 4.19 armbian and done sudo /vendor/m2-update..
then i tried to boot the 5.16 version with no success (just a red blinking light)
then i installed the 4.19 on the emmc and from there tried to uppdate the bootloader againbut the 5.19 sill not boot
what am i doing wrong?
The correct launch order.
1. Download, unpack and burn a special update image to the SD card (please note, this is a separate image with a special structure).
2. Connect the prepared SD card to the device and turn on the power.
3. Perform the initial setup (answer the questions) and then execute the command sudo /vendor/m2-station-update-uboot
4. Download unpack and burn the Armbian image to the SD card.
5. Connect to the device and turn on the power. If you have done everything correctly, the system will start automatically and in a few minutes there will be an image on the screen. Next, you configure the system as described in the Armbian documentation.
Please note, items 1-3 are executed once. In the future, they do not need to be performed. This is a one-time operation.
The 5.16 kernel is experimental and the HDMI output only works with a resolution of 1920x1080 and not on all models TV.
Important. Use the correct image versions exactly for your model. The image M2 version is different from the P2 version. If you use the wrong version, some of the hardware will not work properly or will not start at all.
still don't know whats wrong.. is this compatile with multiboot 1.0.1?
i have even re flashed station os on emmc did the 1.0.6 update and bootloader update then followed youir guide step by step carefully
im using balena etcher to burn images, what do you mean with a few minutes? i shuold leave the red light blinking for a long time?
im a unix sysadmin so i feel very disappointed by myself but idont have a uart for further debug..
Does Armbian with kernel 4.19 start and work from your SD card ?
Which TV/monitor do you use?
check whether or not the device appears on the router (to find out what IP address it receives) and check the connection via SSH.
For those who want to build their own version of the kernel\image, sources have been added for self-assembly directly on the p2\m2 device itself.
