Application Reason: I work a lot around streaming with ARM machines, and already have a few RK3399-based products. For the time being, hardware encoding has been really difficult with these boards, as the software part is not up to the task. I saw in the description that your OS can hardware encode 1080p, so I'm already in love with that product. I would make it my personal streaming portable device, so that I can stream without 30kg of hardware. Please have a look at https://youtube.com/channel/UCyrSW5yzz1gAHzN567cE2YA, https://bruno.verachten.fr, and https://medium.com/@poddingue.
Purpose: To build my personal mobile streaming station

Application Reason: I'm a SBC entusiast and I love the RK3399 chip and I would love to test it and benchmark some of it's implementations (Raspi 4, Orange Pi 4 & Station P1) to publish a review. I't also a sysadmins and linux user since 1999, so I love try/tear_apart/hack_into new things. One of the things to test is how well suited is the Station P1 to server as a contest station for amateur radio operators
Purpose: Testing, benchmark, review.

application reason: I'm a robotics and embedded systems student. I need a good and powerful SBC in our laboratory. Station M1 Geek PC is an excellent choice to command and control drones and robots due to its size and performance
purpose: testing, detailed review, build open-source robot

Application Reason: Since a decade I use SBCs as home servers but also for domotic. I'm using armbian and various additional softwares (docker, openmediavault, home-assistant, etc.). Station P1 would be a powerful home server being able to transcode on the fly multimedia content thanks to its VPU. With its six cores, it can also be used at the same time as a mini pc for my childrens.
Purpose: To build a home and multimedia server.

Reason for Application:
ARM enthusiast, I like to port FreeBSD to new gadgets and shares my personal experience on forums and blogs. I want Station P1 to try and build a FreeBSD distribution for Station P1.
Purpose: Create FreeBSD DESKTOP Boot Image for Station P1

Application Reason: Playing for quite a while now with the idea picking up a board featuring the RK3399 SoC but never actually got a chance to do so.
Anyway as for myself I enjoy playing with the boards and I became involved into the Armbian project where I now do maintain the forums as well as our IRC channels and services as well as the documentation.
A member of the Armbian forums mentioned this opportunity and first I was a bit sceptical if I can keep up with the conditions but when I think about it should be possible to come up with a few posts about the board. presupposed I get one ;-)
Purpose: Funny that the example idea actually comes pretty close the the designated purpose I was thinking about. At the moment I do have a streaming server running Jellyfin in my LAN on an older x86 computer which is working nicely. However if I could replace it with a proper SBC that includes hardware encoding/decoding I would not only save quite some space but also knock of some of my electricity bill.
However from experience it might be quite a way to get there until everything runs stable so I expect to mostly do testing new Armbian development builds and features as soon as they hit Github...if there will be official support for this board at all somewhen...we will see.

Application Reason: I will use it to port Manjaro ARM to it so it can be used as a linux desktop PC running Manjaro linux. When done I will ask if they will iuntegrate the support into Manjaro ARM Tools, so everybody can build a Manjaro ARM desktop for their station P1. If I find some extra free time I will see if I can compile Lakka for the station P1 so it can be used as a retro console. In the end I think the station P1 will use the station P1 as a gaming device as the RK3399 is a powerfull SOC that can run most emulators.
Purpose: Bringing Manjaro ARM to the station P1 so everybody can enjoy Manjaro desktop on the station P1.
