Thanks for the effort! My audio receiver recognize the surround formats now. Unfortunately the sound stutters in kodi. I tried streaming video's, local video's.. no difference in kodi. Then i used the FX app from the playstore and played the local files with the result that my audio receiver recognize the audio as pcm/lossless audio and that works without stuttering.
I use kodi most of the time to stream videos via addons that isnt possible via FX(file app)

Hi great work and thankyou so much for sharing this with us all. Im having a little trouble with with hdmi resolution. When I set it to 4k it makes the screen very small in the top left but cant set the hdmi to 4k and the ui to HD is there anything I can do pls

Go to the Display and Sound menu, scroll a bit down and set the DPI to 480 for 4K resolution. It is different from the top Display menu where you can choose the resolution and Color. In this menu also set Content frame matching to Never to fix certain apps that use ExoPlayer video playback.
Then all the icons and menus will be bigger.
Set it to 320 for 1080p resolution.
This firmware uses real 4K resolution so that is why everything becomes smaller.
Other devices show 4K resolution but then the menus and UI is still 1080p only video playback is 4K.
A restart is needed after changing the resolution between 1080p & 4K.
Hello Sir I done what you said and its almost perfect the only thing thats not right is the favorite apps boxes the picture doesnt fill them properly like it did before I changed it could you pls recommend a fix. Thanks for your time and hard work.

All seams ok apart from when im watching 4k live tv, it keeps on glitching, movies are ok and if I use my other apps they are also ok. Is there anything I can do to sort this out.

Hello, It seems there are some issues in the device's system decoders. Other apps may not use the system decoders.
