Hi I am trying to set up openvpn using the OpenWRT image Station_P2_OpenWRT_GPT_RAW_20211123_1812.img

I pretty much always get this error:

1. Sat Apr 16 01:13:48 2022 daemon.err openvpn(nam)[3294]: ERROR: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such file or directory (errno=2)
   
2. Sat Apr 16 01:13:48 2022 daemon.notice openvpn(nam)[3294]: Exiting due to fatal error

wether I update all packages with opkg, overwite files during installation or not.

I have installed openvpn-openssl and luci-app-openvpn


and then configured using the guides.

If this configuration will not work would following the online guide hereenable the OpenVPN configuration? (How to compile OpenWrt firmware for the P2 Device? )

Great hardware. I have two and would like to use one as a router

Thanks I am looking into it now. It appears to be based on Openwrt 18.06 which is no longer officially supported from what I can see and I was wanting to use docker. Will see how I go.

Unfortunately this firmware has the same or similar issue:

1. Mon Apr 18 14:43:08 2022 daemon.err openvpn(client_tun)[17209]: ERROR: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such file or directory (errno=2)
   
2. Mon Apr 18 14:43:08 2022 daemon.notice openvpn(client_tun)[17209]: Exiting due to fatal error

I can authenticate with the servers but the error is fatal.
