I copied slarm64-current-aarch64-server-station_m1-5.16.9-build-20220220.img.zst on a SD card and put it in the M1 but it booted on Station OS instead of slarm64
What I have missed ?
try the method with the primary unpacking of the zst archive and recording via dd (as described in paragraph 1), if everything also starts Station OS, look at the multi boot description.
Hi, mara answered your question in this topic. Thanks.
Hi mara,
to expand the file the "--no-sparse" argument seems necessary. Unfortunately this method doesn't work either : the M1 boots on Station OS
For the multiboot option : I have very few applications in "All Apps" and not OS Assistant !
Note : I have no problem to boot (several images of) Armbian with this same SD card.
Hi Chris4arm,
1.
2.
The first command failed with this message :
3673 MB... zstd: error 92 : Sparse skip error ; try --no-sparse
so I do
zstd --no-sparse -d slarm64-current-aarch64-server-station_m1-5.16.9-build-20220220.img.zst
then
dd if=slarm64-current-aarch64-server-station_m1-5.16.9-build-20220220.img of=/dev/mmcblk0 bs=1
then put the card in the M1, power on and boot... on Station OS !
I repeat : when I copy Armbian images on this card, they boot directly...
What's wrong ?
it shouldn't be so check the image
or
I can mount the SD card with this image on my PC but it doesn't boot in my M1.
I've also tried crux-arm-3.6-aarch64-core-station_m1-5.15.10-build-20211222.img.zst without success
