Not mentioned in your instructions is that before Balena will recognize the image, it must first be unzipped.
Right after selecting the unzipped image, Balena get's an error "Missing Partition Table: It looks like this is not a bootable image. The image does not appear to have a partition table, and might not be recognized or bootable by you device." You get two options, CANCEL or CONTINUE. Pressing CONTINUE flashes to the card. Putting in the TF card and powering up the Station M2, the blue light comes on an stays on, no video out. It just hangs (left it for a few hours and still just hung). Now with the TF card removed, the Station M2 will no longer boot to Android as it did initially, it is just hung.

Perhaps iptables of your kernel needs to be upgraded.

Can you verify the image please?
Can you point me at the Android download so I can at least get Android back working?
Hi, we have a new image now. Could you please send me your E-mail address and I will send the image to you?
For Android, you need to use AndroidTool v2.81.
Etcher is only for Linux images.

Does this basically overwrite the Station OS as the default boot OS?
