Yes, you can't keep Station OS and Armbian installed on NVMe. The bootloader should be on eMMC because bootloader is based on Station OS that is installed on eMMC. There is no way to put the bootloader anywhere.

I think you can try Android 11 and Android TV https://www.stationpc.com/download.
There is GMS on my Station M2 and you can find it on APP store.
